Bonn March 29, 2015: The German Telekom stomps a legacy of those times, when people still went to the Internet with a modem and special software: The “E-mail Software” will not be developed further, the pink giant announced and recommended users to switch to the browser-based “e-mail Center” Telekom. The T-Online-mail program, although it off not the same, but the e-mail receiving and sending the e-mail software will be only to a limited extent, the company announced.

The e-mail software is a component of the T-Online access software and has been developed up to version 6.0. Especially by those customers who to this day with a modem (remember: It’s those rattling analog-to-digital converter to the telephone jack) into the net; some use to this day this specialized software Telekom. Even the mandatory conversion to encrypted e-mails in the past year had not been easy with this very own software.
The Group now has a step-by-step instructions and a free loadable export made program into the net with which these users can convert their old emails and address books in the “E-mail Center”. The latter can then be accessed via standard browser such as Firefox or Internet Explorer.
