The search for the software standard – PHARMA ADHOC

The ABDA had already suggested in 2012 in advance of the AMG-Novelle that pharmacies should continue to work only with certified software. This should ensure that inventory management systems comply with legal and contractual requirements of the drug supply. About the certification should be guaranteed that the software solely in official settings are indicated and incorporated no extraneous functionality.

The proposal did not went through. This year, a request of Chamber and Association of Saxony was rejected when Apothekertag in Munich. The Berlin Association CEO Dr. Rainer Bienfait had the call criticized as impractical: a standard and accurate display The aim, essential information on drugs and supplies, leave with a certification not reach

From the perspective of Lars Polap. , the chairman of the Federal Association of German pharmacies software houses (ADAS), the rejection was the right decision: “The certification costs time and money, leads to more bureaucracy, reduces the ability and means an additional expense.” It is also not clear who the costs would accept it.
