Microsoft plans to use Windows 10 is not only a new operating system and apps that run on many different devices, but also a significant expansion in the Windows Store. At least that emerges from a blog post by Oliver Niehusmann, Principal Application Development Manager at Microsoft. The text, which was only a few hours online, announces several changes.

“The Windows Store will support more than just Modern apps. Desktop apps and other types of digital content is added. We will offer many different ways to pay for apps. And we will offer a store for organizations within the Windows Store, which can set their own curated lists these public apps and also industry-specific apps that need their employees. ” Until now desktop programs will still appear in the Windows Store, guided by a click but then only to that particular listing of manufacturers and will allow no direct purchase. With the “other types of digital content,” of course, movies, TV shows, music or e-books could be meant.

For companies there should also be a program for volume licenses in the Windows Store, according to the blog post. A license management companies may then be awarded as a new license, if an employee leaves the company. The installation files for apps to be integrated into your own images, or can be installed on the internal corporate network, without internet connection. The blog post was deleted according to Computerworld within 20 minutes after an analyst had pointed out on Twitter.
