Uninstalling Apple QuickTime causes problems in Adobe software – Gulli

Anyone who uses Windows Apple’s QuickTime, which should uninstall it immediately. Because there were discovered serious vulnerabilities through which a PC is vulnerable. Apple will also provide more ready any updates and patches for QuickTime, because the support was set.

Some of Adobe’s products are dependent on Apple’s QuickTime

Quite as simple as uninstalling QuickTime, the matter is then not yet. Because some programs from Adobe depend on QuickTime. Although one would currently work out that removing this dependency, nor could you but offer no appropriate updates. Whoever therefore uninstalled QuickTime that could then confronted with problems in some Adobe products.

You currently looking for ways how to avoid the codec and most own native solutions can anbeiten it without having to resort again to other software. Apple ProRes about would be a possible software that could be used. But that would be to make them dependent on Apple again and could stand as now eventually face the same problem. Since you are still working on an elegant solution as possible, currently is certain, no time frame as to when you can expect updates.

It is however further. Who uninstalled QuickTime, which can indeed run the software as usual circumstances, but then eventually encounters the workflow that something depends on QuickTime and then another work is no longer possible. However, one should not be continued on the computer because of the heavy QuickTime vulnerabilities. Adobe finds itself in a tricky situation. Because you want to allow customers to continue to work with the software, but still for the QuickTime problem to offer no real solutions in the form of updates. / Off
