Smartphones are for the most part controlled by a touch-screen that displays a completely new user interface, depending on the function and invoked App. Since the positions and functions of buttons can not be felt, helping VoiceOver visually impaired and blind people, by the screen reader software will read aloud what is happening on the screen with their fingers.

Also, virtual keyboards, like they are displayed on the iPhone and iPad, can be used thanks to VoiceOver the visually impaired and blind. If the user moves his finger over the letters, the software reads out the selected characters. Alternatively, even system-wide a Braille keyboard are used, the entries allowed in Braille.
