The evaluation platform Yelp claims to have 90 million mobile visitors per month. Instead of concentrating on the sale of common Platform-as-a-service provider (PaaS), Yelp has developed its own platform under the name PaaSTA. It combines a number of well known open source modules. This includes Docker, Mesos, Marathon, Chronos, SmartStack, Sensu and Jenkins, the latter is not necessary to insert PaaSTA.

PaaSTA be with Yelp for about a year internally in use. Now the company has released the software under the free Apache 2.0 license on GitHub. Yelp welcomes any assistance in the development of the software, but points out that it does not concern turnkey PaaS solution. Yelp sees PaaSTA rather as an example of how the company has combined the various technologies.
