RIB undertakes with acquisition of Soft SA – leader in Spain and Latin America – a major step in Spanish-speaking markets
Stuttgart, Germany, July 8, 2015. RIB Software AG signed the takeover of the leading construction software company Soft SA in Spain. The successful 100-percent takeover of Soft SA opens up new business opportunities in the Spanish-speaking markets for RIB. Soft SA, the market leader in Spain and Latin America is part of RIB and the product is integrated into the Presto iTWO platform.
Soft SA is a leading global player with a high profitability of 30 percent EBITDA. With 35 years of professional experience in the market Soft SA is both a fast-growing company and one with great potential, which could in 2014 recorded a tremendous growth of 33 percent in the field of license sales. The core product Presto, leading cost Discovery Software in Spain and Spanish-speaking countries, is widely used in the Spanish-speaking markets with more than 60,000 end-users and a network of 15,000 top customers. With more than 80 percent of large projects in Spain with budgets of more than 1 million euros Presto is used. Its customers include world top construction companies such as ACS, FCC, Sacyr, OHL, Acciona, Ferrovial, Dragados and Cobra.
Soft SA Madrid will play an important role in the global Business development of RIB play and Presto will be integrated into the iTWO 5D Big Data platform. The Madrid team will continue to provide iTWO Presto technologies on the market and establish iTWO 5D in the Spanish-speaking regions. The integration of Presto in the RIB 5D enterprise solution is designed to make objective, the Spanish customers ranging from concept to completion solutions for the entire construction process available. With a network of 15,000 top customers, the new potential markets will focus in 2015 to countries like Spain, Chile, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Ecuador, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, the United States and more. The distribution of iTWO on the Spanish and Latin American market is, inter alia, taken over by the 100 partners of Soft SA. The software sales partners with clients from the AEC, EPC and infrastructure sector amounts to approximately 12 million euros and has a sales potential for iTWO technology in the amount of about EUR 10 million.
