Galaxy S7: SmartSwitch is now a part of the system software – CURVED

The software was available already on the Galaxy S6 and its offshoots, as SamMobile reported – but with the new flagship model, Samsung has now transformed it from a standalone app in a feature of the TouchWiz UI. As app SmartSwitch is indeed still in the Google Play Store to download, though it was no longer compatible with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

Although SmartSwitch behaves according SamMobile also on the Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge as an app – you can no longer find the practical helper but now in the App Drawer, but will first need the “settings” of smartphones open. There you tap on the menu item “Reset and backup” to find the feature.

If you want SmartSwitch update to the Galaxy S7, the path does not lead through the Google Play Store, but on the Galaxy App Store from Samsung. But According SamMobile it is likely that Samsung in the S7 version, the software useful in the future also in the Play Store as a standalone app available.
