NRW Interior Ministry: malicious software puts computer lame – THE WORLD

Dusseldorf (dpa / lnw) – An unknown software for hours paralyzed the computer of the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of Interior on Wednesday. As a spokesman for the authority confirmed on request of the German press agency, part of the information technology in the administration had to be shut down as a precaution. Safety-related systems were affected, but neither the police nor the protection of the constitution. From a targeted attack on data of the National Administration will not be considered, said the spokesman.
