games and programs from Windows 7 or 8 are not lost. They also work with Windows 10. However, only under certain conditions.
Although perhaps in the developer’s official description in Windows 7 or 8 Final. Older programs or games can still get up and running under Windows 10 usually.
This is made possible the so-called compatibility mode. To activate it, you look for the .exe file of the corresponding software, you click with the right mouse button and then select the context menu “Properties”.
It opens a new window where you “Compatibility” check “program in compatibility mode for” and then sets including in the list selects the desired version of Windows. Then you confirm with “OK” and the program should henceforth run.
